Terms of Use

This document sets out in a clear and accessible way the conditions of use of Typeur. We want everything to be explained without ambiguity: what our role is, what your role is as an author or user, and how the rights and obligations of both parties are regulated.

Typeur is a portal dedicated entirely to literature. Our goal is to give visibility to literary texts of different genres and formats and to serve as a meeting space between authors and readers. It is not a social network or a self-publishing platform where anyone can upload their texts directly. The operation is different: authors send us their works, and it is our editorial team that decides which texts are incorporated into the portal, how they are edited, how they are presented, and how long they remain accessible. The final decision on publication rests exclusively with Typeur.

When you send us a text, you remain its author and its owner. Sending it does not mean that you lose your rights, but it does mean that you grant us a broad, free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to edit, publish, distribute, and archive it within the Typeur ecosystem. This authorization is essential for us to be able to integrate your work into the portal and give it visibility through our sections, newsletters, social media channels, or other related outlets. We will always respect your authorship, which will be clearly attributed in the publications.

By sending us a text, you confirm that the work is original, that you hold all the necessary rights to share it, and that it does not infringe the law or the rights of third parties. This means that it cannot be plagiarized, it cannot infringe intellectual property or image rights, and it cannot contain defamatory or unlawful material. If a third party makes a claim against Typeur because of a text you have submitted, responsibility will lie solely with you. You will be the one required to assume the legal consequences and, if necessary, the costs arising from that claim.

Our role as editors focuses on reviewing, selecting, and shaping the content we publish on the portal. We treat every work with respect and always attribute the proper authorship. However, we cannot guarantee that all submitted texts will be published, nor that a specific text will remain indefinitely on the portal. We also cannot guarantee the absolute accuracy of all the information or statements contained in the texts, since that responsibility lies with their authors. We reserve the right at all times to remove any content if we consider that there is a legal, ethical, or editorial issue.

Access to much of Typeur is free, although there are services and products that may be paid, such as contests, workshops, or subscriptions to specific content. All prices are expressed in euros and include taxes. Payment is made through the means enabled at any given time. In the case of subscriptions, they are renewed automatically until the user decides to cancel. Once a payment has been made, refunds are not issued unless required by law or if an error attributable to Typeur has occurred.

Regarding personal data, we comply with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish Organic Law on Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD). We only process the information strictly necessary to manage our relationship with users and authors: contact details, payment information where applicable, and essential data for editorial management. You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, and portability by writing to contact@typeur.com. We use cookies and similar technologies to ensure the proper functioning of the portal and to improve the browsing experience. Some cookies are necessary, while others require your explicit consent.

The use of Typeur is carried out under your own responsibility. We strive to keep the portal running continuously and as securely as possible, but we cannot guarantee that it will be free of errors, interruptions, or vulnerabilities. We do not assume liability for indirect damages, economic losses, or harm arising from the use of the portal. In any case, the maximum liability of Typeur will be limited to the amount that the user has paid in the three months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or to a maximum of one hundred euros if no payment has been made.

We may reject a text, suspend services, or terminate an account if we detect serious breaches of this agreement, if payments are not made, or if submitted content violates the law or third-party rights. We may also do so if required by judicial or administrative authorities. Likewise, any user or author may request the closure of their account or the removal of their data by writing to contact@typeur.com.

From time to time, the portal may include links to external pages managed by third parties. These links are provided for reference only, but Typeur does not control or assume any responsibility for the content or services they may offer. Responsibility for those sites rests exclusively with their owners.

This agreement is governed by Spanish and European law. Any dispute or conflict that cannot be resolved amicably will be resolved in the courts of Barcelona, unless consumer regulations establish the competence of the user’s place of residence.

For any inquiry, question, or complaint, you can write to contact@typeur.com. We will respond whenever possible and within a reasonable timeframe, prioritizing issues related to data protection, legal matters, and the security of the portal.
